🏆 Meet Dr. Joseph Hollen ’74 (premedical), ’76 AAMD, Distinguished Alumni award winner from the School of Medicine 🏆
After moving across the country several times with his family and eventually settling in Reno, Joseph decided to establish roots and completed both his bachelor’s and medical degrees at Nevada.👨⚕️He worked as an emergency room physician for 23 years and served as president of the Northern Nevada Emergency Physicians at Renown Health. With an interest and personal experience in the financial and business side of medicine, Joseph decided to leave his medical practice and became a certified financial planner in 2003 to establish a client-centered financial resource that previously hadn’t existed in Reno.📒
He now works as an investment advisor at Open Window Financial Solutions, Ltd., a full-service financial planning firm he founded in 2004. He also serves as investment advisor for the Washoe County Medical Society and the Nevada State Medical Association.

Outside of work, Joseph enjoys spending time with his family, reading and learning.
